Khanya Mkangisa was born on 13 March 1988 (age 37 years) in Peddie in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Khanya is no stranger to TV. Having graced the TV screens at the tender age 14’ where she was a Yo YV presenter. She spent 3years on the production where she grew from strength to strength in Live broadcasting. Khanya is best known as a YoTv presenter during the early 2000's. She is also a DJ.

 

She studied at AFDA (Africa Film Drama Art) in Johannesburg, achieving a BA degree in motion picture and television. As the only child of a single parent, Khanya was a top achiever at school and a skilled netball player.
